Funding News
VASLan Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund
We are delighted to share that our funding application to VASLan has been successful. We have been awarded £10,000 to support our rental costs, and a further £10,000 to develop a new volunteer‑led companionship service.
We will soon begin recruiting volunteers for this service, which will be known as Care to Care in Clydesdale. More information on how to get involved or how to access the service will be available shortly.
In the meantime, if you would like to learn more or are considering volunteering, please speak to Lesley.
The National Lottery Fairer Life Chances
Our application for longer-term funding has been submitted, and we hope to hear the outcome of our application in February.
The Kilt Walk
We’re taking part in the Kilt Walk again this year. Some of last year’s walkers will be signing up for The Big Stroll (14 miles) on Saturday, 25 April.
For anyone who’d prefer a shorter distance, The Wee Wander (3 miles) takes place on Sunday, 26 April. It is £20 per person to register for both walks.
If you’d like to join the team of kilt walkers, please speak to Lesley.
Community Learning and Development (CLD) Singing Workshop
Our colleagues at CLD have kindly offered us a singing tutor once a month on a Friday. These sessions will be very relaxed, with the chance to enjoy a sing‑along to well‑loved songs from the past or to request your own favourites.
The tutor plays guitar and is happy for everyone to join in — or simply sit back and listen.
If you’d be interested in coming along, please speak to Karen or Lesley.
